The lenses are composed of Burris’s high performance glass to provide excellent brightness, light transmission, and clarity. These lenses are also given Hi-Lume multi-coatings, which delivers enhanced low light performance and greatly cuts down on glare. Other features of the XTR III includes the advanced SCR 2 Reticle. It features an ultra-fine, free floating center cross, sitting atop a “Christmas tree” pyramid of holdover points and hashmarks. This configuration allows the shooter to accurately compensate for bullet drop and wind drift, as well as range estimation.
