Bore Tech V-STIX Adapter .270 Cal & Up - DISCONTINUED

Did the adapter on your V-STIX get damaged? Don’t worry!

All V-STIX have a REPLACEABLE, barrel safe brass tip – Also known as an “Adapter”. Be sure to select the correct tip as the Proof-Positive & Brass adapters are not cross compatible between the Bore Stix and V-Stix lines.

Removal/Installation

• Using a small heat source such as a lighter, hold the flame in the center of the adapter for approximately 15-20 seconds to release the red Loctite.
• While holding the cleaning rod body in one hand, carefully unscrew broken adapter.
• TIP: If you have to grab the rod body with pliers/vise, be sure to pad the jaws or you will damage the rod coating. Keep in mind that the original adapter may be hot to the touch.
• Clean the rod body threads and then apply 1 drop of red Loctite.
• Install new adapter and let sit for approximately 10 minutes to cure.
