The Mossberg Patriot LR Hunter was built from the ground up for accuracy at extreme distances. It comes standard with a Monte Carlo style stock with an elevated comb to ensure perfect alignment between the shooter’s eye and a mounted optic, as well as a bench rest style forend for added stability when sheeting from a sitting position. The stock also utilizes a special coating process for a micro-textured surface that provides a firm hold over the entire rifle. To ensure maximum accuracy, the Patriot LR Hunter features an 11° recessed match barrel crown as well as Mossberg’s own Lightening Bolt Action (LBA) Trigger. The LBA trigger is user adjustable, and offers a crisp, creep-feel pull. For an extra level of safety, the LBA’s trigger blade that blocks the sear from releasing the striker unless the blade is fully depressed even when the trigger is set to its lightest setting. Additionally, the Patriot LR Hunter features a fluted bolt and fluted barrel, and comes with a 1-piece picatinny optics mount.
