This is model of STEN Mk.2 is based on the model of Long Branch STEN Mk. 2, ordered by the Nationalist government (Republic of China), and bears the Chinese characters on the top of the magazine housing. Which is one of 72,882 which were produced at Long Branch as aid to Republic of China (although not all delivered) in the second world war.
These Chinese characters markings on the magazine housing are; the Top line is ""si deng"", phonetic of STEN; the second linen is ""shou ti ji qiang"", which means hand carry machine gun; the bottom line is ""jia nada zao"", Made in Canada.
