This Finnish firearm was used to fight off Soviet Forces during the winter war of 1940 and showed the world the importance of sub-machine guns to modern warfare. Used by mostly Finnish and Swedish armies, it was also widely exported into Baltic countries, some European and South American countries. Although manufacturing of the Suomi in Finland ceased in 1944, it was widely used throughout the world well into the 1990's.
